Hummus is very popular these days and everybody loves it. The basic hummus recipe is perfect for trying all kinds of versions, like this recipe for beet hummus. This bright red version will wow your guests at a party.
For the hummus
200 g red beetroot (cooked and cleaned)
300 g cooked chickpeas
2 tbs olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbs tahin (sesame paste)
lemon juice of 1 lemon
Add all the ingredients for the hummus into a food processor, including the cooked beet and blend until smoooth.
Taste, add some salt and pepper and taste again.
To serve spread some hummus on toast and sprinkel some olive oil and sesame seeds on top.
